Actress and auto racer ending their marriage
Sometimes, a married couple will decide to end their marriage. Recently, the Los Angeles Times reported on a celebrity split.
The news regards actress Ashley Judd and auto racer Dario Franchitti. Judd, 44, has starred in several films, including “Double Jeopardy” and “Kiss the Girls.” She recently starred in the television show “Missing.” Franchitti, 39, currently races in the IndyCar series. He has won the Indianapolis 500 three times.
Judd and Franchitti got married in 2001.
Recently, the couple announced that they were ending their marriage. No details have come out regarding whether or not the couple has yet begun the process of filing for a separation or divorce.
Many important issues can arise in connection to the end of a marriage.
One such issue is child custody. Child custody will not be an issue in the split between Judd and Franchitti, as the couple does not have any children.
Another issue that can arise in connection to the end of a marriage is property division. Property division issues can be very impactful. This can especially be the case in high-asset divorces. Given that Judd and Franchitti are both stars in their respective careers, it seem like there is a good chance that, if they ultimately get a divorce, their divorce will be a fairly high-asset one. One wonders what will happen in regards to the issue of property division in the split between Judd and Franchitti and what resolution the two will ultimately reach in regards to this issue.
