Paul M. Gaudet

Paul M. Gaudet is a 33 year resident of Clark County, Nevada. He is the proud father of three children, all raised in Clark County.

Paul earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Southern Louisiana University in 1987. He worked as an accountant/auditor before attending law school at Louisiana State University, earning a Juris Doctor degree in 1992. Paul moved to Clark County immediately upon completion of law school.

Paul began practicing law during 1992, operating his own practice in Las Vegas for over three decades. His practice focused on Family Law issues, including asset/debt distribution, child custody disputes, child support, alimony, paternity, guardianships, termination of parental rights, adoptions, and domestic violence/protective orders. Paul has served as lead counsel in several hundreds of bench trials, jury trials and evidentiary hearings before the District Courts of Clark County. Paul has also served as a private mediator assisting Family Law litigants in resolving their disputes without Court intervention.

Prior to joining Kainen Law Group, PLLC, Paul served as a District Court Judge assigned to the Family Division of the Clark County District Court. He has completed numerous courses through the National Judicial College, including general jurisdiction and juvenile justice courses. Paul also completed numerous courses pertaining to court procedure, evidence, Artificial Intelligence, domestic violence, drug/alcohol abuse, and mediation. As a Family Court Judge, Paul maintained an extensive docket, hearing cases involving all issues which are assigned to the Family Court. He was responsible for deciding cases which came before him by way of Law and Motion, as well as Trial. He also served as a settlement Judge on a wide variety of issues.

Paul joined Kainen Law Group in March 2025. He is admitted to practice law before the United States Supreme Court, all Courts of the State of Nevada, and the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. Paul has also served as lead counsel in cases before courts in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Louisiana on a pro hoc vice basis.

In his spare time, Paul enjoys travel, sports, fishing, the great outdoors, and participating in philanthropic activities benefitting children and veterans.
