Boy found after being kidnapped by mother

One thing many parents fear is that they’ll lose their child. Whether that loss is through an accident or because of another parent taking the child away, some people find that their worst fears do come to pass. This case is a good example of a custody arrangement that went wrong but has a happy ending. According to the news, a child reportedly abducted from Dublin, Nevada, has been returned to his father. The news reports that the father reported his son kidnapped after he was taken from his home at around 7:10 a.m.

According to police, the woman and man who took the child are related to him. She is the child’s biological mother, and the man is the boy’s uncle. Police reported that the woman does not have custody of the 7-year-old boy, and they aren’t sure why the pair abducted him or what they intended to do once they fled with the child.

It was suspected that the pair were traveling to Sacramento or Tulare County. They were discovered in Reno, Nevada, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department indicated. The woman was taken into custody; it’s not clear what happened to the child’s uncle.
